Many people wonder why plants are beneficial for their room. There are two reasons that plants are beneficial and useful for to keep in your bedroom. Plants can improve health and sharpen focus when completing a task. Sometimes people struggle focusing on their work.
According to study at The Royal College of Agriculture in Cirencester, England, “students demonstrate 70 percent greater attentiveness when they’re taught in rooms containing plants.” Plants have healing workings to recharge your ‘attention muscle’. It means plants are able to reduce your stress and make you focus for longer periods of time.
According to another study by Kaplan, published in 1993, “Employees are happier if there’s a view on ‘greener elements’ ”. It states that the presences of plants make people feel happiness while they are working. This happiness appears when people are doing stressful work.
Additionally, plants also can improve health by purifying the air in a bedroom. Plants can purify up to 87 percent of volatile organic compounds (VOC) every 24 hours according to the NASA research. VOCs includes different substances that are poisonous to the human body.
According to “5 Benefits of Houseplants”, “Benzene is commonly found in high concentrations in study settings, where books and printed papers abound.” It is important to know that people use books and papers every day, and some VOCs are hiding in these books and papers. Therefore, we can improve our health and lives quality by just putting some green plants in our bedrooms and other places of study.
We just need a little of time to water them every day. It is worth spending a few minutes to make yourself healthier and have better life quality.
