The boys’ water polo ended with a fair season, being the first year the school had a water polo team. It took a lot of motivation and leadership as the boys progressed and trained to defeat other schools. Although they had a few tough games, they are determined to gain wins next year. This will be needed by the help of new team players and motivation from the team.

With perseverance, the boys got through anything. The boys had to motivate each other greatly as they progressed and it wasn’t always easy. They all practiced very hard in order to achieve their goal. When one of the boys felt like giving up, they had to motivate each other and push each other to do their best and to reach their limits. They all faced challenges throughout the way, but they remained united in the end.

Not only did the team support each other, but also one team member, Uziel Perez, pushed them to do their best every game. He mentioned that, “I’m proud of my team even though we lost most of our games, but we kept our heads up.” Uziel also stated that he wants to join next year’s team to prove that the team can win more games and that they actually put effort into training all this seasons.

The boys will continue to train during off seasons because “We don’t want to tell our dreams, we want to show them.” Although the boys lost most of their games, Uziel wanted to show his team that they will do much better because there’s room for improvement since it was their first year. Being the first team of the school year, they showed a lot as they demonstrated perseverance and determination. As they prepare for next season, they will gain more skills to defeat other teams. With plans to win all their games and goals to bring back a trophy for our school, the boys’ water polo team is ready to swim its way to victory!
