One of the most important things you can do for school is to stay organized. Too many students, even after the first semester, struggle to stay organized or just don’t know how. But staying organized isn’t as hard as one might think. Here are some ways to stay organized.

Probably the most basic yet most effective technique to staying organized is using a planner. Instead of bursting out of the classroom after the bell rings, take a couple seconds to write down your homework in your planner. Trying to remember all your homework assignments doesn’t always work.

Most teachers at BOYCP update their Google Classroom and check their email regularly. The best part about these updates is that they’re accessible from your phone. Just like a Facebook message, you can get notifications from Gmail and Google Classroom.

Use a pencil case. It’s easy to lose stuff when the only places you keep them are in your pockets or loose in your book bag.

After a week of school, your binders, folders, and bookbag are already filled with lots of loose papers and notes. It’s important to throw away old papers and store old notes somewhere else, otherwise you won’t be able to find what you need.

Most of you probably realized that you are starting to run out of supplies after the first semester. A good way to combat this issue without over stuffing your bookbag is keeping spare supplies in your locker. This way you have a bit less weight on your back and know that if you do run out of supplies, you can just stop by your locker to refill.
