Briefly put, anime is just Japanese cartoons. If you have ever seen Cowboy Bebop, Naruto, or have played a Street Fighter game, then you know what anime typically looks like. Although the anime market in Japan has declined in recent years, anime continues to thrive overseas- including at BOYCP.
The Anime Club is managed by Mr. Rubio on Mondays in Rm. 326. The members of the club are persistently social. They often debate heavily on certain questions such as: Does the Fairy Tail series suck? Is Tekken better than Mortal Kombat? Is One Punch Man truly capable of defeating any character from anime and comic book universe?
Apart from debating, the members play games, discuss technology, music, Japanese culture, and support each other academically as well as emotionally.
Mr. Rubio thinks that the club isn’t where the members want it to be. The club wants its membership to grow, but the members are comfortable as is because they show up knowing no one will explicitly judge them.
