After intense weeks of conditioning, the BOYCP boys’ volleyball roster was finally cemented by the coaches. They have had very successful games so far, and due to their hard work, there is no doubt that they will continue to do good.

The boys’ volleyball team coaches decided to build two teams, Junior Varsity and Varsity team. Coach Wu stated, “this is also the first year we’re planning on having two teams, a JV and Varsity team, so we can fully develop our younger players to be ready for a varsity-level team in the future.” This new season, there are multiple coaches on the team, Ms. Wu and Ms. Voss, each of them is in charge of a different aspect.

The boys’ volleyball team members work hard on their skills and strategies in order to win as many games as they possibly can. The JV team has lost its past few games; however, the Varsity team has succeeded. Coaches encourage both teams to participate in the non-conference games in order to further develop skills. Failure is a path towards success because people can learn from their mistakes. The JV team is learning from all of its non-conference games in hopes of developing their skills and working on their weaknesses.

The boys’ varsity team is showing its best status to face new, upcoming challenges. Non-conference games are played with hopes that they will develop as a team in order to prepare them for their conference games. They are developing by having better teamwork, communication, and become more united.

Before Spring Break both teams lost to Hancock, but much was learned. Check the game this Friday, April 21, on the road against Sarah Goode or on April 25 at home against Fenger. Go Bobcats!
