The music selection at the homecoming dance was well selected and diverse. A DJ and a new band, Ilusion Norteña, played different kinds of songs ranging in genres.
Most songs were suggested by BOYCP students, which were popular and great to dance to. People like the songs the DJ played at the dance as they made their way to the dance floor to bust out some moves. The atmosphere was lively as many were dancing, singing, and seemed to be having a good time.
Ilusion Norteña was the live band that played at the dance. The members included were Enrique Aguilar and Mr. Morrow on the guitars, Jose Macias at the drums, and Eriberto Lera playing the accordion. Many people cheered their support for the band since they were excited to dance and sing along to many of the well-known songs.
The band was formed because the members believe music to be a form of life, and Ilusion Norteña wanted to share their passion of music with the rest of the world. Let’s hope the next school dance and prom are as great as the homecoming dance.
