The Cross Country team is stronger than ever. Coach Johnson and Coach Murray are on a mission to push our fellow Bobcats of all grades, new and returning runners, into the CPS championship. The team went into the season with more hope and talents due to a surprising increase in runners.

While this sport requires an extensive amount of running, Cross Country is heavily a mental sport. The team members push each other to reach the finish line to make themselves better runners at each of their races. The runners created a family amongst themselves, and as a family, they strive to be their best, not just on the team but also in life.

Cross Country is an individual sport that releases endorphins. Endorphins are also known as “the runner’s high” because they are the hormones credited for making someone happy. After accomplishing their goal of running a certain distance at a certain time, the runners feel an intense amount of happiness.

With hopes to achieve various goals, the team hopes to see their fellow classmates at their races to show support at their upcoming meets. They will surely give it their best shot to be the first ones crossing the finish line.
