As winter arrives, the season for many great sports comes to an end. The soccer boys earned a well-deserved break after giving it their all during every match. For some players, it is an “until next year” farewell, but not for all. Senior players: Christian Cops, David Gutierrez, Bobin Jimenez, Rodrigo Morales, Hector Muñoz, Jose Muñoz, Manuel Ramirez, Rick Patino, David Perez, and Marco Valtierra have shown determination and strength during their last season on BOYCP’s soccer team. Many players have been on the team all four years while others have not; but at the end of the day, everyone has experienced what it feels like to play as team.
All-sectional player, David Gutierrez, and all-state player, Bobin Jimenez, took time to answer reflection questions focused on the team’s overall achievements and performances. The first question asked about the knowledge that the players acquired from the season, and David’s response was, “I learned that everyone really does have to play their part for the team so that we can all succeed”. After a few polite questions, I asked our graduating Seniors: “What advice [they] would you give to future BOYCP soccer players?”. Bobin said that players, “need to bond. There’s nothing better than playing on a soccer team with people that you consider family. I think that’s a big part of our Bobcat Soccer, and that’s what makes us different as a team”. Thanks for all you did guys- you made us proud.
